App: iperf3 Speed Test  •  Last updated: 14 June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the iperf3 Speed Test application (the “App”) handles information. The App is a graphical front end for the open-source network performance tool iperf3. It is designed with privacy in mind and complies with the Google Play Developer Program Policies on Privacy, Security, and Deception.

Summary

Information We Collect

The App does not collect, log, or share any personally identifiable information with the developer. There is no backend server operated by the developer, and no usage data, test results, or device identifiers are sent to us or retained anywhere by us. Test configurations and results are kept only on your device for your own use and can be removed by clearing the App’s storage or uninstalling the App.

Network Connections and Third-Party Services

Because the App measures network performance, it must make network connections that you initiate. These connections are made directly from your device to third parties, and the developer neither receives nor retains any of the data involved:

Permissions

The App requests only the permissions required to perform network tests:

These permissions are not used to collect or transmit data to the developer.

Advertising

The App currently contains no advertising. In the future, advertising may be introduced. If it is, ads will be served only through advertising networks approved by the App’s publishing platform — in this case Google Play — and any such advertising will comply with Google Play’s policies, including those governing personalized (targeted) advertising and user consent where required. This Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly before any advertising feature is enabled, and the App’s Google Play Data Safety section will be updated to reflect the change.

Children’s Privacy

The App is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.

Data Security

Since the App does not collect or store your personal data on any server controlled by the developer, there is no such data for us to secure or breach. Any settings you save remain on your device.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example if new features are added. The “Last updated” date above will reflect the latest revision. Material changes (such as the introduction of advertising) will be reflected here and in the App’s Google Play listing before they take effect.
